The generated video, the generic music, the link to the shop
The short ad that leads to a sales page: how to find out where it comes from.
What you see
A video a few seconds long, with generated images or voice, royalty-free music, a product presented as a lucky find, and a link to a shop. The same product, the same video, sometimes the same script, comes back from one brand to the next.
How to check
- Search for the ad in Meta’s Ad Library: it shows a page’s active ads and the date they first ran.
- Run a reverse image search on a frame taken from the video, to see whether other shops use it.
- Compare the product shown with marketplace listings.
Takeaway
Using a generated video is not illegal in itself. What matters is what the video promises and what the sales page proves.
