Reporting on SignalConso

The DGCCRF platform for reporting a problem with a business: what happens after a report.

What it is

SignalConso is a platform created by the DGCCRF (the French consumer-protection authority) to connect consumers and businesses. You can report a price not displayed, a late delivery, unfair terms or difficulty obtaining a refund.

What happens next

Your report is recorded in the DGCCRF database and sent to the business, which is invited to reply and, where relevant, to fix the problem. You can stay anonymous or leave your contact details so that it replies to you directly. The DGCCRF follows the exchanges and uses these reports to spot businesses that receive many complaints or reply little, and to target its inspections.

Takeaway

The official page does not promise a refund: the business is invited to reply. Keep your evidence (order, exchanges, dated captures) and describe facts.
